A Day in London

Just another day...

I live incredibly close to London. Only 25 mins away on the train so I don’t really go to London at all… apart from to work!

However last week my fellow blogger An Historian About Town came over from Canada to visit the UK and after 4 years we finally met! An Historian About Town was actually key to the beginnings of my blog! She was the first ever person to stumble upon my, what was then brand new, little blog and since then she’s helped me with its growth and allowed me to bounce many ideas off her!

So, back to our day out! AnHistorianAboutTown was desperate to visit The Queen’s House in Greenwich and she was desperate to visit Cath Kidston with me! So after meeting at London Bridge we headed out to Greenwich for a wander!

Theme parks are such fantastic places to visit while travelling. With themed shows, thrill rides, fireworks and your favourite characters, they are a true modern marvel. Japan happens to be the home of some of the world’s best amusement parks, which are definitely worth checking out. Here are some tips and tricks for some of Japan’s top theme parks.

The happiest place on earth really needs no introduction. Disneyland Tokyo is the second most visited theme park in the world, with 7 themed areas- the World Bazaar, Adventureland, Westernland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Critter Country and Mickey’s Toontown.

Best known for:

All the Fastpass rides, which are very popular. Several of these rides have the word ‘Mountain’ in their names for some reason. More on the Fastpass rides later.

The Dreamlights Parade, Happiness is here parade and Happiness on high parade are definite highlights.

A trip to Battambang

Adventurous Hermit

Note that ’bang’ is pronounced ‘bong’.

One of the best things about going to Battambang is getting there by boat. The boat leaves Siem Reap, travels briefly along the very dirty Siem Reap river, crosses the northern end of Tonle Sap – the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia, and then ambles along the Sangker River to Battambang.

Gliding through Tonle Sap is a glimpse into another world, where life is lived almost entirely on water. Life on the lake looks pretty good. I could live there in one of those cute floating houses – if I could bring myself to eat fish, or build a floating vegetable garden. JH and I debated floating garden designs as we travelled along.

Once we exited Tonle Sap and entered the Sangker River, people became poorer. In some places, whole families were living under a piece of…

Outdoor Weekends

SWITZERLAND | When I’m choosing a ski tour I always better play safe. I like to choose places that I already know a little bit, because if there is no trace in the snow, I would be lost even with my GPS. To avoid that we decided to go to the Telschehorn, which is next to the Brudelhorn.

It was freezing cold like last time and so we decided to skip the summit and skied down.

Where: Park your car next to the excellent restaurant Mühle, then walk up the forest. The surroundings after the forest are simply breathtaking.

What: Skitouring, easy, nothing above 30 degrees, even feasible with bad conditions.

As the winter solstice approaches this week, we are reminded that midwinter has finally come and longer days are near. To many this means a chance to travel and refresh with the New Year. To those who visit, this means finding a love for the Wyoming Wintertime.

Here are just a few reasons why Wyoming Winters are our favorite:

Spectacular, quiet sunrises with the Rockies

Each of the Mountain View’s 6 guest suites provides a warm welcome to the day and a chance to wake up with the sun almost year-round. With over 200 sunny days a year, nothing beats our beautiful early morning sunrises that lead into warm blue-bird afternoons.

Over 25 Feet of Annual Snowfall Each Year

In addition to a lot of sun, our Snowy Range Mountains get a substantial amount of snowfall every winter ranging from 25 feet on top of the range to 100”…

STILTS CALATAGAN BEACH RESORT

For me I recommend to have a service. Since we don’t have a car so let’s do the DIY day tour 🙂

We meet in JAM bus terminal at 300H because when I checked online there’s a daily trip going to Calatagan Batangas but when we arrived unfortunately no trip going to calatagan so instead of transferring to other terminal we choose to ride na going to lemery then from Lemery around 700H we ride a van going to Calatagan and the van driver offered us a ride directly to ” stilts “which is 250 each instead of around 70 pesos but up to calatagan proper only so instead of transfer and transfer we agreed to 250 even though we know that it’s to much for Budget tour ! Hahaha

Yeah finally …..

900H…
